Styled by Kay is all about curating your dream wardrobe with easily accessible pieces that are more affordable than designer clothes but are more sustainable than trendy fast fashion brands. I’ve always loved curating my perfect wardrobe, and thrifting/vintage shopping is one of my favorite hobbies. I thought why not help others out while doing something I love, and that’s how Styled by Kay was born. I started out on social media, taking clients through Instagram DMs, but since I’ve learned about web design, I’ve loves the convenience of taking orders through a web page. The inspiration behind this business was Cher’s digital closet in the movie Clueless, hence the website design (if you know you know!). The idea of having your dream wardrobe is something I’m sure many of us fantasize about. It’s also important to me that the process is completely sustainable. Sourcing second-hand clothes and giving them a new life with a new owner is something really special to me, and if more people were to shop second hand, we could reduce our carbon footprint greatly, as fast fashion is a big contributor of greenhouse gas emissions. Right now, I’m the only one running this business, but I hope to expand and hire some employees that carry the same love for fashion and vintage shopping that I do. I put a lot of time and effort into these bundles, and I pack and ship everything out of my house, so it is reflected in the price, but trust that I am committed to making your dream wardrobe a reality.
